I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
