Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Authorities mentioned they were notified by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Around fifty cars have been covered with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.

The substance had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other smeared automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report early analysis show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; authorities are not yet informed of any physical harm in relation with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior political figure commented the vandalism rendered him speechless and needed to be solved rapidly.

"This incident affects the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, recalling the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of migrant background in five years prior.
